BOARD OF DIRECTORS
MARIA LOBUONO
President and Founder
From a young age, Maria was rescuing animals. Always bringing home anything and everything that was lost or injured- this didn’t exclude wildlife! Maria’s mom would always tell her that she was the keeper of the wild…and that still rings true to this day. Maria started fostering when she was 20 and her passion and love for rescuing just grew even bigger. She works part time as a vet assistant and full time as a dog momma. Her hope is to educate people and improve the lives of the many animals that have been left behind.
MICHELLE MOORE

MISTY BRYANT
Secretary, Board Member
Ever since I was a little girl, I was bringing animals home; pregnant cats, stray dogs, injured birds, you name it. I loved helping animals. It brought my soul so much happiness from a young age. When I was old enough, I got my first job as a Veterinarian Assistant and moved up over the years to becoming the Hospital Director for a very large animal hospital. Throughout those years, I worked with local animal shelters, fostering nursing moms, motherless pups, angry and misunderstood Chihuahuas (lol!). The way it made me feel to help rehabilitate and re-home these helpless animals was indescribable. Finally, my journey led me to becoming the Shelter Director at the SCPA. Here is where my heart’s work really took off. Creating foster programs and working with rescue groups to save as many precious animals as possible was my main goal, and it has resulted in so many wonderful relationships! Fast forward a few years, and here I am. Mother, wife, Dog Groomer, and animal advocate. I am honored to be part of this amazing rescue, and I know that working with Maria and Michelle will equal lives saved!!!
We’d love to hear from you.
